It's a complete remake with only following 1st games main plot points (also the fact it is disconnected, 'another dimension' to other games) and aside that, almost everything is changed from fight system is different, dialogue indeed is different between some characters - there seems to be less side scenes like original game had, but flow of story is is bit nicer (Neptune and Noire stuff is radically different from first game's portrayal)įight system is switched from turn based "classically inspired" system to more tactical 3D free movement on field turn based system where positioning is (somewhat) important etc. No I am not kidding when I say "usable items" was not a feature in first game.

There is no less than 4 or 5 times you fight Noire in first game and Re Birth 1 it's - One, maybe two, I am not that deep into it myself.īut on other hand the main story (for whatever's worth, I mean these are not exactly Tolkien writing here) is better paced given how hell bent the other Goddess/CPU characters are with fighting main character in first game.
